LMUTA Bargaining Team met with LMUSD today to continue to negotiate the collective bargaining agreement. This is the third time we have met for the 2019/2020 contract. In March, we proposed a 3.5% salary increase, and the District indicated they would not be able to make a salary proposal until the start of the school year. During today’s negotiation, the District proposed the following compensation:
0% Salary Increase
$500 One-time bonus (that could be redirected to an FSA, same as last year)
Increase in the District contribution to Health and Welfare Benefits from $10,000 to $10,500
We also made proposals on class size and Speech Language Pathologists caseload.
LMUTA told the District that we will not respond to any compensation without a salary proposal.
The District indicated that they will make a comprehensive proposal on all elements at our next negotiations session on September 4, 2019, due to unaudited actuals being approved at the September 3rd Board Meeting.
